Hey there! I’m Sarah, a co-founder of SciComm Society!
My goal is for scientists to become excellent communicators so they can confidently share complex scientific concepts in a relatable, simple way so anyone can “get it.”
I am a science communicator with a PhD in microbiology and decided to start SciComm Society because I want everyone to better understand science and make well-informed decisions.
Unfortunately, over-complicated science prevents many from grasping why it matters to them and how it can improve their lives. I also believe that non-scientists shouldn’t have to become experts to understand the importance of science.
As a scientist and science communicator, I feel that it’s my duty to help people understand and appreciate science to improve their lives and well-being.
If the idea of being a good science communicator seems a little overwhelming or you don’t know where to start, don’t worry. I’m here to help you on your SciComm Journey.
