Hey there! We’re Justine & Sarah, the founders of SciComm Society!

We train scientists to become excellent communicators so they can confidently share complex scientific concepts in a relatable, simple way so anyone can “get it.”

We both are science communicators with PhDs in microbiology and decided to start SciComm Society because we want everyone to better understand science and make well-informed decisions.

Unfortunately, over-complicated science prevents both scientists and non-scientists from grasping the aspects of science that matter to them and knowing how to use science to improve their own lives. We also believe that non-scientists shouldn’t have to become experts to understand the importance of science.

So, we feel that it’s our duty as scientists and science communicators to help people understand and appreciate science to improve their lives and well-being.

If the idea of being a good science communicator seems a little overwhelming or you don’t know where to start, don’t worry. We’re here to help you on your SciComm Journey.
